How to Clear All Notifications on Apple Watch

Among Apple Watch’s conveniences is the ability to keep you notified without the added task of taking your iPhone out of your pocket or purse. You can merely just look at your watch for the latest email, text or other notification. Notifications feature touch, audio and visual cues that are stored in the notification center.

It’s smart to limit the apps that can send notifications. That constant buzzing or other cues can drive you crazy if you don’t. Decide which notifications are the most crucial and limit those apps to the ability to send notifications. You can always check notifications on your other apps when you have the time.

If you see a red dot at the top of your watch face, that means you have at least one notification that you haven’t read yet. Swipe down from the top of your screen and you will see your pending notifications. You will also notice they can build up quickly.

Clear notifications one at a time

Your Apple Watch lest you clear notifications one at a time. If you want to keep up and not get overwhelmed, you may want to immediately clear a notification that you receive once you read it. That is, clear the notification if you do not still need it. Here is how.

Step 1: Press the digital crown – the top button on the side of your watch – until you see your watch face.

Step 2: Swipe down on the watch face to open your Notification Center.

Step 3: Scroll down to the notification that you want to delete.

Step 4: Swipe from right or left on the specific notification to pop up the X button.

Step 5: Tap the X button to delete the notification.

That way is fine if you only have a few notifications. What about when you let notifications pile up? That could take way too long than you want to take.

Your Apple Watch also features a way to clear all notifications at once. Just make sure to read through them quickly so you don’t erase any you may need later. If you’re good to go, this method will save you time and save room for more notification.

Step 1: Press the digital crown to open the watch face.

Step 2: Swipe down from the top of your watch face to open the Notification Center.

Step 3: Press firmly on the watch screen.

Step 4: Wait for an X button to appear on the screen.

Step 5: Once the button appears, tap on it to clear all of the notifications at once.

Once a notification is gone, it’s gone. There isn’t any getting it back, and you do not get a chance to confirm this is the decision you want to make when you choose to delete all notifications.

Again, look through the list first to make sure there aren’t any notifications that you want to keep.
